It's Baaaack!

I missed a couple of seasons, but I followed the last few pretty closely. I love, love, love the audition portion of the show and am repeatedly shocked when strange looking, stranger sounding people are appalled and angered at their rejections from the judges. Scattered thoughts about the new season:

- Kara Dioguardi, the fourth judge, definitely adds a little something with her almost attitude...not as mean as Simon (yet), not as cuddly as Paula (probably never), and not a name dropper like Randy (again...yet). I like her (I think).
- Simon needs to stick to black T-shirts...white is not his hue.
- I love Paula's funky glasses.
- Some contestants truly make me cringe.
- Two contestants stand out to me...blonde, crazy bright blue eyes, bartender, 25, can't remember her name...sang "Sittin' by the Dock of the Bay" song and the blind genius named Alex who sang Billy Joel (one of my favs); they've already got my vote.

Colin Ferrell

I liked him in "Miami Vice" and even in "Alexander"...don't judge. Also, I love listening to his Dublin accent, but other than that, I've never been much of a fan. With that being rather pointlessly said, the man's acceptance speech at the Globes, made me smile and even tear up a bit. [Fast forward to 3:05 if ya wanna check it out]

Happy Dance

is what I did two days ago after successfully downloading a Microsoft converter. I'm no computer genius, and it seems that every single time I try to incorporate a new Intel, Mega, Giga, 2.0, Updated, Upgraded Anything, it never works. I typed up a Word document using an '07 version of Word, tried to bring it up on an older version, and it wouldn't work. Got a pop-up...download this, and I thought, yeah right! Nevertheless, I went to the site, clicked here, clicked there, waited for a few, and....Cue Happy Dance; it worked. I gave Gates' company a bit of praise while on the phone with my husband, and my iPhone cut out...Apple musta heard me;)

So...

Sometimes life gets a bit hectic and blogs are placed on the back burner. But, I've got a bazillion ideas roaring through my head lately, accounting for my lack of sleep last night and will post about them this evening...for any that are just dying for a bit o' "Saturday".
