The Cost of Cool

My little brother informed me tonight that he purchased two items at The Buckle and paid over $150 for them. His gf, whom is gorgeous and itty bitty bought a pair of jeans for close to that...what the what? That's a grocery bill for me these days. I used to be that girl buying expensive jeans, but I'd wear them out I tell ya. These days I'm lucky to step foot in a department store more than a few times a year:) That's it. I'm going shopping. www.whatscheapandlooksgood.com

When I was a teenager, Sedgefield jeans were all the rage, and I used to lay on my bed and zip them with a clothes hanger! Yes, the teenage years are all about looking good, then you get older and find out that you can look good for a lot less...actually, if you WANT to look good, you HAVE to do it for a lot less ;)

LOL. Sedgefield ~ the jeans with the "physical fit."

I don't think I've spent $150 on jeans if you add up every pair I've ever owned in my whole life.

Gosh, remember Cavaricci? Ugliest jeans on the face of the planet...I have photos by way of proof. =(

Most expensive habit I had as a single person: any bad, or extremely happy day, I'd head to the Ralph Lauren counter. 2-5 shirts & at least $300 later, I'd walk out satiated.

Now? Uh...haven't done that in over 11 years...those damned Stride Rite shoes....;)

i wont buy cheap jeans. i think they look cheap and get worn out quicker. i buy my jeans from nordstrom. i usually buy seven for all mankind but ive started branching out to joe's jeans and MEK. all of which can sell for 150 or more, easily.
